Kyarah scrutinised the room expectantly, seeing nobody her expression turned sour. "Hey! Is anyone in here, or has some asshole gone for a f***ing tea break?" She straightened subconsciously, her head resting on her shoulder.

"How do I know you aren't trying to poison me?" Kyarah sniffed the liquid curiously. "Well, if this is poison, somewhere out there there'll be a middle finger waiting for you to say "F*** you," for me." She swallowed the liquid and relaxed, closing her eyes.

Kyarah frowned, considering. A hunk of meat could give her salmonella - a knife couldn't. Plus, she could defend herself with it. The knife was much more beneficial to her survival, so with much deliberation she picked up the knife.

She could have killed the animal...but it was a dog, and she loved dogs. Sitting down on the floor, she looked at the floor. Eye contact was a challenge. She tried not to show her fear.

It gave a little yelp, which pulled a nervous laugh from Kyarah. There was a scream, and snapping and snarling. Kyarah would get to her feet to see a little Candor girl backing into a corner.

Kyarah remembered something an animal handler she had met had told her. A sharp, short noise can alert the animal to the fact that what it is doing is wrong. She tried to make a noise of that description.

The dog would turn its head, giving the girl a chance to mutter a quick thanks and catch up with her parents. Kyarah would close her eyes, a smile on her face, and wake up in the testing room.
